On December 9th the 2013 Annual IVCA Awards Dinner Presented by Kirkland & Ellis LLP was held at the Four Seasons Chicago. For the fifth time, the event was sold out with 500 attendees. Special Guest Speaker Steve Moore of the Wall Street Journal engaged the crowd with his observations on the current state of the economy and industry verticals that are going gangbusters. Organized for maximum networking opportunities, the event is tightly scripted so that attendees could gather for cocktails at 5:00 PM and head out to enjoy the Greenberg Traurig Dessert Reception at 8:30PM. The Chicago Bears were playing on Monday Night Football so a crowd gathered to assure itself of a handy Bears win and then enjoyed the delicious desserts and after-dinner drinks late into the night.
