Job Description
As an Associate, you will complete the underwriting and documentation for the team’s credit portfolio:
·        Analyze financial statements and assist in maintaining appropriate risk assessments on all credits.
·        Handle client and prospect needs by working with operations and product groups.
·        Assure loan underwriting and documentation meets SVB policies and procedures.
Job responsibilities include:

  • Underwrites uncomplicated credits; underwrites more complex credits under direction of the Managing Director or Vice President.
  • Monitors compliance and past-due reports for team’s credit portfolio.
  • Prepares action plans to address noncompliance and past-due issues with clients.
  • With guidance from the Managing Director or Vice President, contacts established clients and may handle a small group of client relationships.

Skills and Requirements

  • 3 or more years of related experience.
  • Strong credit analysis and accounting skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Associate Candidate Opportunity -
Growth Catalyst Partners, a middle market private equity firm is looking to add two additional Associates to their team. The firm has offices in Chicago, IL and Rowayton, CT and is looking to add one Associate in each office. The preference is for an immediate start, though there is flexibility for a summer 2019 start for the right candidate.
The firm is targeting candidates with at least two years of investment banking and/or private equity experience, with a preference for those with experience in the firm’s target sectors. Associates are given high levels of responsibility on very lean teams and participate in all aspects of the investment process, including sourcing, evaluating, performing due diligence on, structuring, monitoring, and exiting investments. The work includes financial modeling, valuation analysis, industry research and analysis, writing internal memoranda & presentations, drafting legal documentation, managing debt providers and third-party advisers, and working closely with CEOs and senior managers of portfolio companies.
Growth Catalyst Partners focuses on control buyouts of information, marketing and tech-enabled services businesses. Ideal Background:

Preferred: post public accounting experience at a financial services firm or PE or Venture Capital backed operating company
CPA and/or precedent academic degrees
Existing residency or deep ties to Chicago

Fund and management company finance: Manage timely and accurate accounts and books for investment funds and operating management company.
Audit: Own annual external audit process under the direction of our consulting CFO.
Budget preparation and oversight: Lead our annual and quarterly budgeting processes.
Analysis and reporting: In partnership with our investment team, manage portfolio analytics and quarterly reporting for our investors.
Investor services: Maintain investor portal and serve as a point of contact for investors on financial-related inquiries.
Administrative: Manage human resource function, including compliance, payroll, and benefits.
Risk management: Define and execute processes for risk management — including financial, human resources, cyber and other operating risks.

IMD Guest House builds community and healing by providing comfortable, affordable accommodation for patients and their families throughout their treatment

·         47 fully furnished apartments, located at corner of Polk & Damen

·         The only organization in the Chicago area that supports patients of any age, receiving out-patient or inpatient treatment

·         About 50% of our service supports low-income families, and we never turn families away for lack of funds

Board Responsibilities
