Nominate a Candidate for an Award

IVCA Annual Awards Individual Nomination Process for 2018:

 

1. By September 12th, email [email protected] with your submission to be considered for an award at our December 3, 2018 IVCA Awards Dinner.  Please include:

  1. Name of your nominee
  2. Background detail
  3. Three (3) references (name, email and phone number) for others who will support your nomination. Suggested references:
  • For the Daley Award – charities/civic organizations, management teams, LPS & partners who can provide background.
  • For the Golder Award – portfolio company management teams, LPs and partners who can provide background.
  • For the Fellows Award – IVCA members who can support the nomination

2. We will have our professional writer compile a nomination form from email or phone interviews with yourself and your suggested references, so that the level of detail is similar for all of our nominees.

3. The voting panel will include prior awardees and IVCA Board of Directors.

Civic Contributions – Daley Award

  • Has directed significant effort toward improving our city, our state and the country.
  • A person who demonstrates the highest ethical standards on both a personal and professional level.
  • Has participated in the venture/private equity industry as an investor, service provider or academic.

Investment Success – Golder Award

  • Is a recognized leader in venture/private equity investing.
  • Has a strong track record of investment results.
  • A person who demonstrates the highest ethical standards on both a personal and professional level.
  • A history of achievements that reflect high standards for him/herself and others.

Contribution to IVCA – Fellows Award

  • Has recognizable accomplishments working with IVCA in its mission of advocating, educating and promoting for VC/PE in Illinois.
  • A person who demonstrates the highest ethical standards on both a personal and professional level.
  • Has participated in the venture/private equity industry as an investor, service provider or academic.
